Recently Added - Cordova with Ionic Support
Use our plugin like you would in Apache Cordova apps
This week we're reaching out to you for a quick update. Recently we've expanded our SDK offering with the update of our old Cordova plugin.
Keep reading to find out how you can add our platform's features to your iOS and Android apps built with Cordova, PhoneGap or Ionic.
Enjoy the latest features
Now you can also have all the latest powerful features of our native SDKs in Cordova apps. Cordova allows developers to build mobile apps using HTML, CSS and Javascript while taking advantage of native functionality. First created by Nitobi, it was later acquired by Adobe and rebranded as PhoneGap and shortly afterwards was released as an open source project known as Apache Cordova.
Cordova is also a pretty decent solution for cross-platform development, allowing web developers to step into mobile development without the steep learning curve. Our latest release brings the power of Notificare to your Cordova apps so features like remote notifications, location based services, contextual marketing, loyalty and authentication are available and integrate seamlessly with iOS and Android.
Support for Ionic framework
Apache Cordova is also the foundation for other tools and frameworks, such as Ionic. With this new update we are also extending our support to the trendy Ionic framework. This framework aims to provide developers with cross-platform development for iOS, Android, Electron and PWA apps using javascript frameworks like Angular, React and Vue. When using Ionic as a Cordova project, you will be able to use our plugin like you would in Apache Cordova apps.
Open Source
Pretty much like other popular cross-platform frameworks we currently support, like Flutter or React Native, we are also allowing developers to contribute or modify this plugin as they see fit. You can find our plugin code base in Github.
Available now
As of today, you can find our latest Cordova plugin published in NPM (the official package manager for Cordova plugins) and its documentation here. If you would like to know more or if you have any questions, we are available, as always, via our Support Channel.
