Introducing the One-Time Offer Loyalty Program

Businesses constantly search for strategies that can boost customer retention, increase profitability, and foster brand loyalty. One of the most effective tools to achieve these goals is a well-designed loyalty program. Not just a buzzword, loyalty programs have evolved into a crucial element of modern business strategies.

At Notificare, we're inspired by our customers' strategies and driven by their needs, constantly listening and learning. We're excited to introduce yet another feature, developed in close collaboration with our power users.

Meet One-Time Offers

Loyalty programs are the driving force behind our Loyalty add-on, adding that special touch to ensure your digital passes are personalized, generated, and delivered to your most engaged users.

Previously, you could only create Tier-Based programs. While these offer a flexible approach to building point systems, reward levels, and incorporating gamification into your loyalty strategy, they couldn't meet all of our clients' needs.

This is why we are very pleased to introduce One-Time Offer programs. We are confident that this type of program will change the way you distribute highly personalized single-use digital cards that create a sense of urgency and exclusivity, enticing customers to take advantage of an exclusive or limited-time offer.

Single-use cards aren’t just limited to special offers. You can also leverage this program to generate and distribute tickets for events, such as music festivals or sports games, whenever someone makes a purchase. This program's versatility allows it to support any initiative where you provide a list of identifiers, and we ensure each card is issued and distributed exactly once, making it perfect for a variety of applications.

We've also made it extremely easy to get you up and running. If you are not familiar with it yet, you will find programs under the Loyalty section of our navigation.

This is where you need to go, if you want to create a new One-Time Offer program:

Simply provide a name and select the type, and you are ready to choose the pass template you wish to use for your offers:

After that you can create your program, it's that easy!

Once you've created a program, you can now add unique codes. In the following tab, you can see how many unique codes are available, search them, create new ones or delete them all:

These unique codes will be any data you want to embed in the pass' barcode. In most cases that should be data that your POS can scan and redeem. Alternatively, you can also use our free apps to void these offers after they are used.

Import & Export

Ultimately, your business will need to bulk import these codes at scale. This is why you will be able to import large amounts of unique codes via our import jobs:

Where you can provide us with a CSV file containing all the unique codes you want to import into a program. More information about this can be found here.

Additionally, you will also be able to export that same data and get a grip on the unique codes that are available or that were already issued:

Event-Based Campaigns

To make all this even more powerful, businesses will be able to generate and distribute these digital passes (or these codes in their simplest text form) via event-based campaigns. This means that you can create and send a one-time offer to your users whenever a certain event is registered in Notificare.

This is done from the newly introduced Loyalty tab in the even-based campaign editor:

Where you simply need to select the program and make sure that program contains available codes. Alternatively, you can also define an expiration date, for your digital cards, by providing a number of days, which we will compute to a date, whenever the event occurs and/or by providing a maximum expiration date. When the computed date is after the maximum expiration date, we will use the maximum expiration date instead. When none is provided, your digital card will never expire.

Additionally, you will be able to use the following placeholders in the content of your message:

  • {{loyalty.barcode}} - If you want to display the barcode
  • {{loyalty.googlePay}} - If you want to use the Google Wallet card URL in a link
  • {{loyalty.appleWallet}} - If you want to use the Apple Wallet card URL in a link

Finally, with this new feature, we've also made it possible to update the balance from digital passes of a Tier-Based program:

For this type, you will need to select a program and a rule that can set, add or subtract and increase or decrease the balance by a certain percentage, whenever an event is registered.
