One common request we've heard from you – our amazing clients – is how to manage messages that get triggered during odd hours, outside your business hours, or during inconvenient times.
Well, guess what? We've got you covered with an exciting new feature: Quiet Period!
What is Quiet Period?
Ever had a message trigger when you really don’t want to disturb anyone? Whether it’s during the middle of the night, on a weekend, or during any other off-hours, this new feature helps you ensure that your messages are only sent at a time that's just right. No more early morning or late-night alerts unless you want them. Instead, you can schedule them to go out at a more convenient time!
How Does It Work?
When you create an event-based campaign, you typically define the content of the message that should be triggered by certain actions on your app, website, or API. By default, we deliver those messages immediately when the event happens. But here’s where the magic of Quiet Period comes in!
In the new Delivery tab, you can define a time frame during which any triggered messages will be postponed. After the Quiet Period ends, we’ll deliver your messages right when it’s most convenient for your users. You can also define a Preferred sending time to get things just perfect.
Here's How to Set It Up:
- Toggle the Quiet Period ON: It’s as simple as flipping a switch! The Delivery tab will only appear once you define content for your event-based campaign. And once you do it, you’ll have the power to decide when messages are sent.
- Set Your Start & End Time: Choose when your Quiet Period starts and when it ends. Easy as pie!
- Preferred Time (Optional): If you want to take it up a notch, you can also set a preferred delivery time – just make sure it’s outside the Quiet Period. Perfect for those who like their campaigns to be on just the right schedule.
When you’ve got a Quiet Period enabled, rest assured that Push, Email, or Text messages will not be sent during this period. Instead, they’ll patiently wait until the end of the Quiet Period or until your preferred time.
